Snow showers are going to move through during the game in Denver on Sunday and I think that’s going to make what already is an interesting game even more so! It won’t be enough to really impact it much – UNLESS – the heaviest burst moving through hits the stadium and drops visibility for ten minutes or so. That would be fun.

Snow chances will increase during the game as a wave moves in from the northwest. These scattered showers will have the potential to reduce visibility during the game and drop down some quick accumulations of snow over the field and the fans if one of the stronger ones can run over Empower Field at Mile High. Here’s hoping the Broncos can run all over the Patriots!

Bundle up if you’re heading up there! While cold, this won’t be as cold as the 1982 “Freezer Bowl” between the Chargers and the Bengals. The Bengals advanced to the Super Bowl by upending San Diego 27-7 at Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati, where the temperature was -9°F (-23°C) with a wind chill of -59°F (-51°C). This is the coldest NFL game on record from a wind chill perspective.
