MOUNTAIN SNOW TIMING AND AMOUNTS
Snow level will stay high in the mountains through dinner on Tuesday. Snow level may be down near the passes 10,000′ early Wednesday, but by Thursday morning should be down around 8,000′ give or take.
This drop will happen as the heart of the upper level system comes in from the west. By Thursday morning there could be an inch or two on the grass and trees at some of the bigger ski resort bases and some of the mountain passes will be pretty wintry! It’s that time! One of the things we’ve still got to figure out is the speed of the upper level system moving through Wednesday night into early Thursday…I think we will be able to nail that down in about 24 hours from now.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
It’s early season and elevation matters…the higher you are the more you’ll have within these ranges I’m showing…the lower you are, while 2″ or 3″ could fall, you might measure only 1″.
