ASPEN ACRES FIRE UPDATE – MID-MORNING, FRIDAY
Great news on the Aspen Acres Fire as containment has jumped to 28%! Fire size is now over 97,000 acres due to some creep in a few areas on the west side of the fire and the very northern edge. New areas of containment have been called on the northeast side of Beulah Valley, and straddling highway 165 just northwest of Rye.
Kudos to all of the crews so diligently working on this fire that remains the seventh largest fire in state history.
