The numbers are in, and in some cases they are quite surprising – to me at least. Here’s the biggest one in my opinion. That early December storm was the snowiest 24 hour stretch in Colorado Springs all year! So much for March and April!

Highest temp was only four off the all-time high of 101° which was set on June 26, 2012 when the Waldo Canyon Fire came roaring into northwest Colorado Springs. Also, we lived up to the 300 days of sunshine that you often hear the chamber of commerce types talk about! Although there certainly were clouds around in the days outside of the cloudy ones. Most days end up being reported as partly cloudy or fair. Our sky coverage for the year was 50% on the nose.
In Pueblo we were gustier, snowier, and wetter than Colorado Springs. We also had fewer straight cloudy days. That December storm? Yep – that was the snoiwest “day” of the year in Pueblo too. Who knew?
