The Colorado Springs airport recorded a 62mph wind gust on Thursday, March 12, 2026 just ahead of 3pm. While strong, that was nothing compared to northern Colorado where gusts ranged between 80-92mph. A high wind warning continues in the mountains and foothills west of Denver through noon on Friday.
Other areas will get occasional gusts in the hills overnight…and when the wind picks back up form more areas Friday afternoon, in most spots it won’t be as strong as it was today. Enjoy that though…because Saturday will be windier again.
