I told you we’d start getting good news today!

The El Paso County Sheriff just lifted the pre-evacuation for the southwestern part of El Paso County on highway 115 for Sandy Creek Heights.
The Fremont County Sheriff changed the evacuation area to a pre-evacuation area and the previous pre-evacuation area has been lifted. All residents may return to their homes!
Satellite hot spots continue to show a few hot spots and with our heating of the day and drop in humidity from this morning we are seeing more smoke now from the fire. The wind is still out of the southeast and that’s good news. I’m still hopeful we get some official containment percentage later today. With the evacuation changes, I’d be really surprised if we didn’t.
