24 FIRE UPDATE, FRIDAY 1:45PM: The fire is now more than 1,000 acres. A diffuse plume is visible as of this writing, but the characteristics of the smoke plume are not as active as it was 24 hours. It’s also not visible as of this post on radar. Wind is variable in the area and mainly under 15mph.
Let’s hope the situation holds steady through the afternoon as tomorrow is going to be a more difficult firefighting day. Wind will be out of the west between 20-35 mph 24 hours from now.
