EXPECTED SNOW: Friday, March 6, 2026

Snow will move in from the west over the mountains into early Friday morning and spread across the rest of the area on Friday morning. Commutes are likely to be impacted over the mountains and in the Pikes Peak Region in both parts of the day. Its a close call on if the morning commute may be impacted along highway 50 from Cañon City to Pueblo, visibility reductions with big, wet flakes and mainly wet roads would be the concern on highway 50.

Farther west and north with higher elevation and early arrival of snow where the snow is expected to mainly be between 3-7″ expected some slushy or snow packed roads, icy roads above 8,500′ and low visibility as bursts of snow move across the area in the morning. During the afternoon the wind will pick up for areas east of the mountains and where the snow has stuck blowing may occur, reducing visibility.
