Low-level moisture is lower this afternoon and there is less oomph in the mid-levels of the atmosphere compared to Saturday.
It means fewer storms over the plains. Biggest threat from a severe weather perspective is wind gusts in our neck of the woods. I can’t rule out a storm producing some hail near 1″ as a cold front arrives from the north late in the day, but I think the threat for hail larger than that is farther to the northeast.
Storms will develop after 2:30 over the Palmer Divide, and then a few may develop after 3:30 farther south toward the Arkansas River depending on the speed of the cold front.
